it was a joke, he was implying that he would overclock your CPU by 1mhz and stability test it for 39.95.. You my friend, are definately not fun.

He means if you want to learn the true art of overclocking, you will need to pay $39.95 for your first successful mhz and .49cents for each additional mhz after that. You can PM Admin and pay through paypal.

while the idea of getting deals through OCN is appealing somewhat, i feel this site is better served to stay away from commercialism. as it stands now, we are reputable because of our knowledge base, and the good will of community. if we start affiliating with companies, our judgements may seem biased, and thus losing credibility. i like OCN views because they are unbiased, atleast not commercially biased.

if your looking for deals, browse the for sale section, or the online deals section. you will almost always find the great members on here will list things for sale here 1st, often much cheaper than if they had listed them somewhere else, giving us 1st crack at what they have to offer

I've toyed with the idea. As1c0n noted, it's sort of thin ice.

My main intent here is to give all of you easy access to us, so that you can get your questions/concerns answered. I will also post when we have certain items in stock, as I know there are extremely popular, so I'd like to give you guys first crack at them, so to speak.

I don't want to turn our presence here into a pure "sales force" This is also why I try to post frequently answering questions or commenting on things completely unrelated to our business.

So long as we can maintain a system where your community at large benefits by my being here, and I also gain a benefit in so doing, I'm happy. If running some special deals for you guys is something that you want, I'll do it... but only if it's something that we all feel can be done without damaging the community and it's status as an unbiased source of information
