i would honestly love to have a 40" iMac with 4k resolution and inputs for my other stuff mounted where my current (somewhat crappy Element Electronics) 40" resides. one can dream though.

Something tells me people wouldn't be so up in arms if the title said "[AI]Samsung now offering monitors with built-in VESA mount adapters for $40 premium" or [AI]Dell now offering XPS Ones with built-in VESA mount adapters for $40 premium"

It's ridiculous how people get whenever an Apple product is mentioned here. Let people buy what they want without throwing a hissy fit. Other people sure as hell don't go insane when you guys drop $700 -$1000 on a god damn graphics card.

I'm using one right now. Have been using it for a while.

This is a good price for the piece + labor to take the foot off and apply the backplate.

Yes, I'm serious. It was annoying and the mount adaptor is solid.

+1, been using one on my cinema display for over a year now, they've had VESA compliant all in ones since at least 2009 with their adapter

I have one of the first Aluminum 23" CDs and I found a VESA kit for it lying unused around work. Will probably slap it on once this thing is no longer my main PC display.

Oh I would be laughing even if it was Samsung. $40 for a plate, eh? Knucklehead is right. It's straight ridiculous. I'm a manufacturing engineer so I have a little room to talk and $40 for this is literally amazing. It's like once a company gets a certain size then they start doing stupid stuff like this all the time(looking at you Google).

Let me get this straight: you have to PAY for something that actually many other computer monitors out there include? And they don't even include the stand? rolleyes.gif

This is pretty cool. It's too bad you can't attach a stand later though if you end up changing your working conditions or environment. You're kind of stuck with it like that.
