Grinding Gear Games’ ARPG Path of Exile is going down rather well with gamers and they announce today that there are now 2 million registered players.

“We’re really pleased with Path of Exile’s reception. It blew our expectations out of the water and continues to grow every day,” said Chris Wilson, producer for Grinding Gear Games. “The continued feedback and support from our fans has been great. We expect to add a lot of new content and features during the Open Beta period as we approach full release later this year.”

Grats on that GGG, you deserve it!

Hmm...maybe Diablo 3 has something to be concerned about after all?

Nah...probably not.

Heh...plus I am nervous about the developer's name, "Grinding Gear Games" I've played to many MMOs to become nervous at the word Grind and Gear in the same phrase.

This game is insanely awesome. For anyone that thinks otherwise, unless youve played it, you have no idea. Everyone Ive suggested to play this game, they have played it religiously ever since. Just look at the skill tree, well more like skill web!

Honestly I thought you were exaggerating until I went to the website and saw the passive tree. The tree is huge! This is definitely not for your average player. Anyone have experience playing it?

I have a few hours in it and the skill tree, as massive as it is, is easy to work your way through. If you know what kind of character you want to play there is usually a care choice as to where to spend your point.

Look at the skill tree, examine each of the specific bonuses given by the special passives (the big circles on the edge of the web) see which ones you might wanna go with on your character, build from there.
