However, considering the number of parts you have water cooled, might I suggest going with the MCP35X pump instead? Not only does it provide more pressure, it is smaller, PWM controlled, and comes from the factory with the best-performing top already in place (thereby relieving the necessity of purchasing a pump top/mod kit as is so common for the D5's). I have two and they are absolutely great pumps, incredibly powerful considering how compact they are! I will be adding the second one into my loop whenever I decide to drop the $56 on the Swiftech MCP35X2-Housing (in white, of course!).

So am I hearing that the D5 pump I want is not adequate, hence your suggestion to get MCP35x. And if I do get the MCP35x:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14568/ex-pmp-171/Swiftech_MCP35X_12v_PWM_Controlled_Water_Pump_-_White.html?tl=g30c107s153

This is the pump your suggesting I get. Will this pump fit a bitspower 150 res or would I need to purchase the Swiftech res with it. Would I need to get a heatsink with this pump also??????

It's not that the D5 is inadequate at all, but rather the MCP35X seems more suited to your loop, offers PWM control, AND ends up costing less. The difference between the D5 and 35X, apart from those mentioned, is that the D5 is a very high-flow pump for use in loops with minimal restriction while the 35X has a ton of pressure and is designed to work in more complex loops with multiple blocks and/or radiators without losing flow. There is a lot of personal opinion out there regarding which is better, and while I try my best to be free from bias when recommending parts, it would certainly be worthwhile to hear out others' opinions on the matter smile.gif

The link you provided is indeed the pump, and the white-topped model happens to be my favorite thumb.gif

The BP Res will work perfectly fine with the pump, and in fact you can use a BP Rotary Male-Male Coupler to directly attach the res to the pump top (and you can use extension(s) if you want to increase the distance between the two).

I HIGHLY recommend the heatsink, as well as a decent 80x15mm fan for which the heatsink kit includes a mounting mechanism, due to the immense reductions in operating temps you will see. The colder the pump, the longer its life.

Here are some links to some better prices:
MCP35X White for $86.99 @ Sidewinder Computers
MCP35X for $84.95 @ JabTech
MCP35X-Heatsink for $12.95 @ JabTech
MCP35X-Heatsink for $14.95 @ Sidewinder Computers

I'm currently doing a build on a switch 810 as well. 360mm xt45 in the top, 240mm ut60 in the bottom, and a 140mm xt45 at the back. And I will be using a MCP655B pump with a 250mL reservoir (includes pump top and mod kit etc).

Once i finish the build, hopefully by this weekend. I'll let you know of temps etc.

BTW im cooling 2 EVGA 4GB GTX 680's, and a i7 3770k. Motherboard is a Maximus V Formula.

Awesome, yes very similar setup to the one I plan on building. I have been holding off on the pump/res and top rad because of my OCD visualizing perfection in my 1st h20 build. OCN member nleksan has been very helpful and informative and value his input. Now, I have to decide on the pump I should be using for my setup.

Please if you could send pics of your build. I am very interested in how you setup your rads and loop. Good Luck.
