[Wired] Tuition at Learn-to-Code Boot Camp Is Free — Until You Get a Job - Page 3

Job Market? What's that?

If you got the skills to code, go into business for yourself.
Otherwise, enjoy coding things you have no interest in for the next 20 years.

I honestly thought that was a typo.

Really. What life can you possibly have outside of working 90+ hours a week when you barely have time to eat and sleep? Might as well be a robot instead of a human being.

A very good point that I don't think a lot of people realize. I personally find programming boring. Now do it for a big company and have fun looking for errors in somebody elses code or being tasked to design a portion of some customer interface script on their website.

It's an intensive training program.... people choose to do it. Like the military where you spend 24/7 for almost 3 months in boot camp?

Well.... I don't want to do it.

I would rather just get a much more recognized degree at a much more sane pace.

It's obviously not for everybody. It's more for people who want to switch careers or already have graduated.
