Yeah, running at the 1.6v the RAM requires.

Note that it previously worked perfectly as I said in the first post and even went through 14 hours of Prime95. Not sure what has caused the change.

Try bumping them to 1.64v.

It may not be your issue but the two big culprits for this behavior tend to be badly seated RAM or low voltage. I've actually seen this issue a few hundred times before (when I worked at EVGA).

Tried a few RAM voltages and no dice. Also tried upping CPU voltage to see if that helped with no dice.

And on another issue I also seem to have some issues with the BIOS (unless Im going crazy) where features are no longer available. See the bottom of the first post.

Idk. its hard to say its your ram. You happen to have another rig to put the ram in to test? To me, it would seem at least, if the ram is posting in the first two slots perfectly fine and not the 2nd two, its not a ram problem. But who am I to question Asus! lol. Could always just tell them you tried different ram? biggrin.gif

Well sent back the results of the ASUS Techs. tests (noting that I didn't have another 16GB of RAM to test). He asked that I set up a RMA to send it in.

Thanks for your help everyone.

Try reverting to an older BIOS?

See #2 in the first post.

I guess I could try a few more BIOS options, I think there were a few more available for download on the ASUS site for this board.
