As long as you do not only look on benchmark-scores, the 840 PRO would be the best one in my opinion. It's performace ist very good and not only with compressable data. And the reliability is over the top.

What about the Adata 256gb SSDs? Seems to be getting solid reviews on Newegg. Im more concerned about reliability than performance charts.

Sent from my SAMSUNG Galaxy S2 using Tapatalk 2.

Thanks for all of your input, I decided to go with the samsung 830 because of the speed, and it has been out long enough that I could get a good deal on a used one. The 840 pro is the best ssd out there, but there was too much of a price premium for a speed difference that I wouldn't be able to notice. Another thing about the 830 and other non sandforce based ssds is that its garbage collection is better. The corsair performance pro/plextor m3 is about the same performance, but it didn't come with a warranty.
