SLI- Dual Monitors

Thread Starter
Is it possible to have your graphic cards in SLI mode on dual monitors? I'm guessing that there has to be a way to do this.

You can get a seperate cheap PCI card to run the second monitor. Otherwise, no.

This was a big let down to me too. No dual monitors with Crossfire enabled.

There is a simple script you can build and run to switch SLi on and off quickly...

Here is what you do:

1) Open notepad
2) Copy the following in:

Option Explicit

Dim WshShell
Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

' Open the SLI Mutil-GPU applet.
WshShell.Run("rundll32.exe nvcpl.dll,LaunchMultiGpuApplet")
' On slower machines this Sleep value may need to be increased.
WScript.Sleep(500)

' Send the keystrokes to change the mode.
WshShell.SendKeys("%E")
WshShell.SendKeys("{ENTER}")
WScript.Sleep(500)
WshShell.SendKeys("{ENTER}")

WScript.Quit(0)

3) Save the file as "SwitchSLI.vbs"
Note: Be sure to change the drop down box from *.txt to All Files.
4) Run.

And it works!

Drivers....nVidia just hasn't allowed this in the drivers for some reason.

Edit: ^^ works, and I use it to switch SLI on before I game.

Or, you can get that Matrox 3-Head signal splitter, and use it for 2-3 monitors. Let me see if I can find it.

Here' you go.
