I have replaced a 1TB HDD, with a 180G Intel 520 series, i recently went to try and put the 1TB back in an dhad some issues getting it to restore and what not, no biggie, the intel is back in the laptop, ill just purchase a larger SSD and migrate...

Thhe weird thing right now is, the 8G's of easy cache that is on the 1TB drive is still showing up in my laptop.....i can move files to it, format it....everything as if the drive is still there....but its not.....

my SSD's size has not changed so the 8GB isnt comeing from the SSD....

its a ghost drive.....

anyone know what is going on.?!?

Go to device manager and see the source of it. It should have a device ID, port id etc. wink.gif

Well, i uninstalled the driver for that drive, and then "scanned for hardware changes" and it found it again and installed the driver for it....

i am EXTREMELY confused at this point now.
