I actually ran it for over two hours, the screenshot just doesn't show it.

I'll try the AVX version when I get home.[/quote]

So I ran the AVX version for two hours last night and it was stable for that. Should I be testing longer? I would think if it's 2 hours prime stable it should be more than 10 seconds LinX stable at least right?
Run avx prime95 for 12 hours if you want stability, 2 hours not enough.

The first two workers are stopping right away at the start of the test. That's not normal is it?

That's normal when it comes to checking stability and finding that you are somewhat unstable. Post pics of the BIOS so we can see your settings and everything. thumb.gif

Here's my current BIOS settings. I set up the 120% current limit to see if it helped. It didn't.

My sig rig has trouble with RAM. The 4 sticks of G-Skill I'm running is rated to 8-9-9-24 2T @ 1.5V. It's completely unstable at that rating and fails Prime Blend within 10-20 seconds and programs crash like you describe. 9-9-9-24 2T @ 1.5V, no problems whatsoever.

I tried to run 8 sticks of 30nm samsung, and it was horribly unstable. I tried tuning, with no improvement.

Loosen your CAS latency and see if it evens out. But for whatever reason, it may be that some of these CPUs can't handle fast RAM settings. If you google, you'll find other threads of people with the same problem with SB-E.

If that's the case I'll just return the RAM and pick up some boring old Kingston HyperX 1600. I'll get back to you.

I've already changed my RAM from Corsair XMS3 2Ghz to G Skill quad channel certified Ripjaws Z and they pass an hour of memtest86.

My RAM is currently set to its XMP settings of 2133 11-11-11-30 1.6v

Please help, I have no idea what is making me fail all these tests when the system is real world stable.

bad ram can pass memtest 86

Okay I've swapped the RAM out to Vengeance LP 1600Mhz and it's still giving me the exact same issue. I'm starting to doubt it's a RAM issue.
