Do I need to reinstall windows or restore further back

Thread Starter
1 month after building my pc I'm constantly having issues takes about 2 mins to fully boot(I'm booting off ssd). At least one thing has issues on every boot this time I have no audio... Windows Experience Index Can't run, windows troubleshooting locks up for over an hour. I have blue screened once. (at the stable 4.2OC 2-3 more times trying to OC more). The task bar goes across all three monitors now(used to be only on the middle monitor).

EDIT: also windows explorer crashes constantly...

All this has slowly been piling on here in the last week or so..

If someone has suggestions Please help me out, I don't want to have to reinstall EVERYTHING Prob around 30-40 programs....

Before windows starts to boot, press F8 (push it repetately, don't hold it down) and select the option (last known good) and see how windows will behave.
If this doesn't work try to restore to a previous point (where windows worked for you and the point where you don't lose your programs and other important things)
Cheers !

Runs stock settings on your hardware which you overslocked to see if the overclock causes you problems of it is just a software issue. If it is software issue do not use system restore but do a clean install and everything will be fine.

I would say reinstall, but before you do that, make sure your ssd is properly set up - did you remember to switch on ACHI before installing windows? Did you just transfer windows from another drive onto here?

Pick your windows version and read the full guide, it will make sure you set up the SSD to it's max potential:

Windows 8
Windows 7

Ok I've been wanting to get all the installed programs off this 5400rpm 2.5 500 gb and install them to my 750gb partition of my seagate 2tb. So I think I want to start over wipe the ssd and get rid of the 500gb drive. Where should I start on getting windows off and not loosing my data(movies music...etc)which is on another drive.

Oh I'm so frustrated right now...
