Need advice on single monitor high resolution gpu

Thread Starter
I am getting rid my current rig due to a cross country move. Right now I'm playing on a 2500k, gtx 570 based setup. I recently purchased a nice 1920x1200 dell ultra sharp. I really enjoy how it looks and feels, but the enthusiast in me is screaming to try out a high res ultra sharp.

I'd like to keep the card under 300.00

I've been looking at 7950, 7870le, 660ti.

What are your suggestions?

You could a buy GTX 650ti or in sli ( but will be a little more). Otherwise here's a link to new egg grab yourself a 7950 its a monster. It'll kill and chomp anything you throw at it.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131478

Otherwise if you wish to save a couple of bucks go for 7870 as you've described.

You really can't go wrong with a 7950. Its pretty awesome. I'm sure you can read plenty of threads here on OCN in how many ppl love and enjoy the capabilities of the 7950. Good Luck.
