He asked for the best sensor, so I just warned him with precautinary intentions.

Hope that clears it out; and the Deathadder is also a very nice mouse. I tried the 3.5G and I thoroughly liked the sensor and ergonomics, but from what I've read the Deathadder 2013 edition had some issues. I just wanted to give a heads up about it as OP wishes for a "perfect" sensor. Other than that, I would recommend Razer mice.

Then your wording was wrong, because it sounded like the DA had z-axis issues, which it doesn't wink.gif It had a spinning bug and some smoothing, but not the z-axis tracking. Only PTE sensor mice do that.

true. and the word had is very important because it now longer has this issues after the firmware update.

Oh. I didn't hear about the firmware. But I warned him as his only wish wasn't no z axis issues, he just wished for a perfect sensor with no issues. With the firmware addition and the ergonomics da2013 is probably one of the best now.

The supposed "smoothing" due to how Razer made it interpolate was fixed, too?

I don't know, I'm so happy with my Savu that I didn't bother with the new DA yet. I've heard people say it has been fixed, but I can't vouch for that.

Tracking can only get you so far, I've got almost every mice you can think of collecting dust eversince going back to my Sensei. Shape > Sensor capabilities, this is why half of the best fps gamers use it. You'll play better with something that is comfortable

Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. I have a Razer Naga, I know its not known for the best sensor, but its still fine an very adequate for gaming, unfortunately, the very small form factor won't fit in my hand at all and ended up actually kind of damaging my gameplay.

I still can not make up my mind I expect problems tracking and smoothing lag response time of the Deathadder 4g be corrected by firmware for me to decide. tongue.gif

I don't know if the new sensor of the Deathadder 4g really offer better performances at high speed without take off and better overall accuracy than the G400, Savu, DA and BE EC2 Evo.

But the most important question is :

What mouse has the best "malfunction speed " at a very low + hight dpi between the G400 / DA BE / EC2 EVO / SAVU ? confused.gif

In general G400 and Deathadder 4G.
