You can try to lower the vcore more or get a aftermarket heatsink.
The FX-4170 is a 125W version of the FX-4100 95W.

I would drop down the vcore to 1.30v and take it from there.
1.40v is too much.

I recommend the following heatsinks
Thermalright True Spirit 140 $39.95 or Macho Rev A $42.95 shipped @ NansGamingGear

thanks man fo rthe suggestion, but for the meantime i put two fans to blow directly over the motherboard and the heatsing on the side of the gamma tongue.gif and put all other fans except for the front one as pulling air out so i have a total of 3 in and 3 out 2x top and 1x back is out and 2x side and one infront is in tongue.gif that solved my problem and runs my computer on cool around ±30 degrees even the part where you see 64 is running at 40-44degrees the VRMs tongue.gif i didnt wanna buy a cooler now cause i will sooner or later be getting one of those $160 kits XSPC tongue.gif and putting it in my rig then putting the 212+ in this one tongue.gif i also know what was causing more heat as i had the 8800GTS nvidia card in that rig which is old and probably needs new thermal paste and/ thermal pads ... i just put in my beasty 5850 PCS+ running really quiet now ... just thought id update here what i did incase anyone else is having issues or runs in this thread later on ... i kept the voltage at 1.37500 (LLC is at AUTO 51.6%) cpu is downclocked to 4.0Ghz (not more is needed for basic office tasks tongue.gif)
