Looking at IPS monitors. Quick questions...

Hey guys,

I am currently amassing lots of spare funds (+tax return soon) and I am debating what I want to spend it on. I noticed that I haven't been paying much attention to the monitor market. I bought an HP LP2475w maybe 3-4 years ago. It's served me well, but I am curious if a significantly better product has been released by anyone. Doing my research like a good little techie has shown me that the market is moving towards IPS LED's which aren't nearly as good as the real deal. As far as I can tell, the best IPSs are still the HP LP2475w, the Dell u2410, and the Asus PA246Q...(in 24" size)?

I debated switching the 2475 for the 2410 as I find it WAY sexier, but they seem to be almost the exact same product (both use the same LG internals) so it would seem to be a massive waste of money.

How much can you spend on a monitor?

How about a 2560x1440 monitor

Cheaper is better. $450 is around the range I'm looking at. 2560 I think is going to be too expensive, plus I only use 1 GPU so lowing my graphics could be an issue.
