I initially wanted the first thread that I create on www(.)overclock.net to be a presentaion of my system, but since I cannot get my system to run properly, my first thread on this site will be a combination of the discription of my problem and the presentation of my system.
Whenever I start up my computer (I do so by pressing the power button on the mainboard), my mainboard hangs at the "4A" POST code. According to the manual of my mainboard, this code means "SCSI initialization". Also, the vga-led is shining constantly, which would indicate that there is a problem with my graphics card(s). This happens when none, one, or four of my graphics cards are plugged into the mainboard.
This would further indicate that the graphics card(s) are not recognized by the mainboard. As far as I know, this usually happens when the graphics cards are either broken, do not receive enough power, or when the PCIe slot in which the graphics card is plugged into is broken. I had, however, a mainboard (or more exactly two mainboards) before the one I mentioned, with which all four of the graphics cards worked. Actually, I could not really test the full functionality of my graphics cards with my previous mainboard, because before I could fully use them, I did something wrong installing a new bios and then I my computer was not able to boot anymore. I had then sent in my mainboard and had received a "new" one (it was not really new, apparently it was only a repaired one) about a month later, however, apparently the first PCIe slot of this mainboard was broken, since whatever graphics card I plugged into that PCIe slot was not recognized by the mainboard (and also did not output a video signal) and the graphics card I plugged into the next PCIe slot was recognized (and also did output a video signal). I then returned that mainboard to the retailer I bought it from in order to receive back the money that I had spent on the mainboard and then bought the mainboard that I have now.
The following components are of which my computer consists:
ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z
Corsair Vengeance DIMM Kit 16GB PC3-14900U CL9-10-9-27 (DDR3-1866) (CMZ16GX3M2A1866C9)
AMD FX 8150
OCZ Vertex 4 256GB
Seagate Barracuda 7200 2000GB
4x MSI Radeon HD 7970 OC
LEPA G1600
Watercooling equipment for the AMD FX 8150 and the 4x MSI Radeon HD 7970 OC
Dimas Tech EasyHard Benchtable black V2.5
Note: I am aware that the RAM I am using is not compatible with my mainboard according to the QVL (qualified vendor list) that is available on the official website of ASUS. However, after I updated the BIOS of my mainboard (I did so by using its BIOS flashback function) to the newest one that was available (and is as I am writing this post), I was then (and before doing so not) able to use one of the two RAM sticks. I my self am not sure if this has something to do with my problem.
Also, before anyone asks me, I can plug four graphics cards into my mainboard because I reduced each of them to single-slot (using the watercooling).
If anyone who reads this post has an idea on what I could do to solve my problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

my board does the same thing to me, it's annoying but you'll figure it out
it also could possibly your four GPU's, go through the bios and find the GPU and Memory Post tab, to see if all four are detected. Sometimes that can prevent a system from posting at all, just to double check it wouldn't be a bad idea.
