Think you could link me that post on the Corsair website here for me? smile.gif I think I've been on one of them it reccomended to change power saving settings in the BIOS etc. to see if that stops it, I tried those suggestions for the BIOS settings though it didn't work out for me unfortunately. frown.gif

Yeah I have read up on that I believe it's an Advanced RMA or something like that. If I were to RMA the PSU it would probably be through SCAN as they collect the unit and send the replacement back within a matter of days. But either way, I just hope that a replacement won't have the same noise.. I heard so many good things about Corsair products and the first one I buy has issues. I also love how it states it's quiet and silent etc. on the box..

and yes it can be a hit and miss if you get another with the same noise.

It is nice having such a long time though it's just such a pain having to tear it out of the Prodigy. I already had to RMA my motherboard as the on-board sound was faulty and now it's the PSU.

If it the replacement from SCAN still has the same noise I really won't be happy.

I know pal.. it's HORRIBLE! Makes you think though the first Xbox 360 is more silent than this thing haha. Does irritate me though quite a lot. We pay a premium for all this current PC hardware and we get petty issues like this which stop us enjoying our systems. The main reason I'm so annoyed about all this is that all 3 of my gaming PC's I've built over the years has had faulty hardware in less than months of use.

I've arranged an RMA with Scan and they are sending DPD to pick up the TX-650M sometime tomorrow. I'm just really hoping that the replacement hasn't got the same problems.. mad.gif

I have been very lucky after what I read on corsair forums, my AX1200 is 2 years old now and not a sound. I have also built 5 more systems for friends and family and installed AX760 in all those and no odd sounds either, so maybe you will get a quiet one, lets keep our fingers crossed.
