[Build Log] Liquid Cooled i7 3770k / Asus z77 Sabertooth / Blue and White AZZA Genesis 9000 build

This whole build only came about because of 1 extra RX360 rad i had left over from
my first (previous) build. now it's kinda snowballed into a long project that i just
want over lol..

So..my Frozenq res in my current build sprung a leak so i had to repalce.
just bought a whole new one.which is how i aquired my frozenq for this build.
and i seen a good deal on some Ram-33 blocks which i scooped up. also
an NZXT fan controller and a bunch of fittings igot a good deal off of some local
people off of kijiji..
this is the beginning pic.

already decided i was going to go with the azza genesis 9000 so i bought a bunch of
slleeved cables and connectors and decided to go with a blue and white colour theme.

Got my D5 Vario pump with bitspower acrylic top with a blue cover for it also from bitspower.

The Azza Genesis 9000 - or the "Big Case Of Death" ..
which ever you prefer..

So i decided to flip my PSU on its side in order to fit my RX360 rad in the bottom of the case.
worked out better than i thought it would.

My original plan was to get an RX480 for the top of the case but i decided to go for the big ballz.
480 Monsta rad .

Just had to do a comparison pic of my RX 360 to my Monsta 480.

My first build i did (previous) did not have a fill port of a drain so i decided to make things easy for
me in the long run and planned for drain/fill ports.and since i liked it so much the first time i went
with the koolance CPU 370 Rev.1.1 block again.(i still plan on getting it powder coated.)

And here are some pics of when i finally put my fill port in.

In order to hide the Monsta rad i had to come up with a way to make an extra addtition to
the top of the case. picked up these two aluminum hollow square bars for cheap.
i still have to cut the 45*' and secure it on but oh well.. i'm only hesitating because i might
just do it all in acrylic white sheets with a pattern cut out and frosted blue acrylic sheet used
behind it with light behind that. we'll see how things turn out though.

REMEMBER .. always take your time while removing ram heatsinks..cost me an extra 50 bucks.

and here is a bit of my airbrushing stuff ..got my createx wicked pearl blue in the pic which is what
i mostly used for the blue in my new build.

and the priming and painting begin.

Airbrushed my Asus z77 Sabertooth thermal armor. - Blue pearl

i decided to swap out the sabertooth southbridge z77 chipset heatsink with another asus
heatsink . worked out pretty good and matched my Thermal Armor pretty damn good.

my pearl white didn't turn out the way i wanted it to and now i'm thinking of just going "Detail" white or
"Opaque" white.

Which brings me to these last few pics..
was going to finish airbrushing this weekend and start assembling this
sucker but my compressor blew so going tomorrow to get a new one
then completeing this thing.

thanks..
yeah i've been taking my time building this one
but getting to the point now where i just want to finish it.lol
so i went out today and bought a new compressor so i can finish
airbrushing/painting the rest of my parts then assemble.
mind you istill have to order up my gtx 690 +block (was going to go
with the titan but as far as i can see with the price being the
same but the gtx 690 performance being slightly better and the
blocks for the 690 are nice (especially heatkillers and koolance)
and so far for the titan all there is - is the EK blocks but they
don't really go good with my build.
be ordering the 690 + block in a week or 2. kinda waiting for koolance to release
their block for the titan just to see.who knows maybe it will win me over.
i doubt it though.
check back soon. thumb.gif

Got my Frozenq white top and bottoms today

That is coming along great man, can't wait to see the finished product.
How do you like the case? was considering buying one, mainly due it's wildly adjustable layout, and size. I honestly think your build may determine my getting on or not. Do you plan on cutting a spot for a window in the side panel??

thanx biggrin.gif
i like the case. it's a beast. kinda have to move some stuff
around to fit a 360 rad in the bottom (flip psu on side) but due to its size that's
no problem. plus i like how they have the psu so you can have at front or back.
and i am planning on cutting a spot for a window. .big plans for that one.
going to get 2 pieces of plexi. one design but etch half on one piece and
half on the other so together it makes the whole design (mainly a dragon
blowing a fireball and "Lucky 13" in tribal letters with flames around it
in the opposite bottom corner of dragon - and in the middle of the flames
is the OCN flame..
then i'm going to encase the bottoms of the plexi with leds (one blue
and one white) probally dragon and "Lucky 13" white and flames in blue.
i just need the funds now to buy all the plexi but want to get my gpu first.
probally titan..i like the koolance block..going to get it and paint the black top of it blue.lol
so the plexi design will look something like this except with what i described above
NOTE: i did not make the plexi design in this pic below..but it is very nice and gave
me the idea.

That's quite an ambitious plan for the window. I like it. I want to do something similar with my tempest evo, make a PU cover and divider plate. Was thinking very mush the same idea with the etched plexi defusing a design. There is also lexan plastic paint for rc car bodies. The bodies are clear and you paint it from the inside. Think that type of paint finish would look cool on a thick piece of plexi + plus some etching.

I would move the pump to on top of the divider, and the side plate would be hinged.

And this is what i want to slightly mimic

nice..keep me updated when you start to do that.
i was thinking of doing a divider for this build but now that i'm airbrushing my rad
and fans i'm thinking i'll just keep it all exposed.
and yeah i think that paint would look cool also. i might try work some into
the etching design as well..but we'll see...i remember my dad backin the day
using plexi + etching + paint + tin foil to make some pretty cool effects.
well i just have to clear coat a few things then i can start putting the majoriy of this
build together. going to go in a half hour to do it.
