How to mod a 630 into reverse ATX ?

As above really , How would I go about flipping , my case so it was a reverse motherboard layout ? I have a Phantom 630 , and have just put my cpu under water , and would like to be able to see all of my lovely internals . But due to my desk being against the wall to the left , I either have to have it against the wall , or to the right of me . To the right isn't an option really as the top is L shaped , and resting on a low book case type thing . With having an American bulldog, not a wise move. Plus it just looks wrong being to the right .

Would it be possible ? I'm very handy when it comes to tinkering about with things , i just don't want to go into it blind . I have noticed on the forum a few people have done it with other cases including an 820 .

I had the same problem. I set my case against the back wall.

I don't know if switching the motherboard will help, since from my understanding to fix this you need the window and the motherboard on the opposite side of the case. In that situation you might be better off just getting a new case.

Perhaps if you posted pictures of your case and your desk we could come up with more useful advise.

The window won't be an issue , with as it is now the window is against the wall , and the outer door is non windowed . I will just mod the door panel for a window . I'm sure NZXT will release a door panel soon , with the 630 being their newest case . I can't see what a picture would do , to be honest mate . It's simple enough Just a reverse atx .

I'm going to do the same thing, so maybe we could collaborate ideas on how to go about it. It'll take a good bit of work because of the fancy split level mobo tray. The power supply needs to stay at the bottom, first of all. I was thinking of cutting out the split level and just welding in a blanking plate after drilling out the rivets to remove the mobo tray. Then flipping most of the back panel, excluding the PSU area to keep it at the bottom. When I get the case in the mail I'll make a sketchup model to tinker with.

To be honest mate I've decided against it with the Phantom. The easiest way I could think was just to remove everything, feet, switches and anything else that pops up, and then just simply turn it on it's head. I was going to mount the psu in the front, an idea from the rv-03. Well that was an initial idea, any way. Good luck to you mate.
