And then some.

On the F2P model, generally only 2-3% of their userbase buys the extra content and they make tons of profit.

EA/Maxis is going for both, charging for the entry, and mining the whales while the rest of us suffer.

QQ.

Please note that you must register your copy of SimCity before March 25, 2013 at 11:59 PM PDT and you must claim your free game by March 30, 2013 at 11:59PM PDT.

Hypothetically, if you were interested in one of the other games on the list, as well as Sim City if it wasn't so troubled...
Would it be worth it to buy a copy now, validate it before the 25th, and claim your free game for a 2-for-1 kind of deal?

Yes, and even with all the complaints/whatever/internet about the game, it's still terribly addicting.

I want to play it now. But work.

Yes, especially considering SimCity isn't all that troubled anymore.

Think that's got to be dead space 3 because it's the most expensive, but can't say I'd want any I don't play FPS anymore, NFS most wanted is crap and SimCity 4 I'd assume that like me most ppl who bought this SimCity have 4 already. I would of thought they would put something like Euro Truck Simulator 2 or Farming-Simulator 2013 for the people who bought this because they play sim games.

•Battlefield 3 (Standard Edition) £24.99
•Dead Space 3 (Standard Edition) £39.99
•Mass Effect 3 (Standard Edition) £14.99
•Medal of Honor Warfighter (Standard Edition) £24.99
•Need For Speed Most Wanted (Standard Edition) £24.99
•Plants vs. Zombies £6.99
•SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition £19.99
•Bejeweled 3 £14.99

PS TOMB RAIDER would of been nice as well

EA has no rights to any of those 3 games you said would be appreciated. Giving away someone else's games isn't that easy to do. Offering 4 of their biggest titles (including the two biggest) of the last two years for free is hardly something to scoff at. As for SC4, SimCity wasn't targeted exclusively at SC4 fans, there will be a fair number that pick that option.

Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, I got SimCity a couple of days after launch in the UK and had no problems at all so it's something for nothing to me, And I played the first dead space and at some point will play this 1. so I got 2 new games for £45 how can I complain about that.
