Hi. I downloaded the 64 bit version posted in original post. I've used Orthos and IntelBurn Test before but not prime. How many threads am I supposed to run for a core i7? 8 threads?

Thanks in advance

Well i am going to assume that leaving it on the default 8 worker threads is the ticket as is stress cpu to 99%. Ran it last night about 5-6 hrs no errors

I have a question about Prime95. I have a quad core and I noticed that it will run more tests on one core than others. For example, on my current running test (small FFT), it ran the 24K test 11 times on cores 1, 2, and 3 but only 10 times on core 4. Why is this? I know that the cores will get out of sync with each other because of various windows processes going on in the back ground but i don't see why some are running a different amount of tests.

Core 4 is less stable. I have a B50 Phenom II and whenever I ran prime95 core 3 ran increasingly behind as more tests completed at higher ghz. So, make sure your vcore is set right and maybe that will help. Otherwise, you might just have a defective core.

I see. Well I dont think it is a defective core because sometimes it is core 1 and sometimes it is core 4.
