The reason the price/performance argument is getting tiring is not because people shouldn't be allowed to talk about it it's because of the way people are using it.
A normal discussion about Titan might go like this:
person 1: yeah it's great at 1600p, I wonder how the OC affects performance?
person 2: Apparently they OC very nicely after a BIOS flash, scales well with it too
person 1: that's great to hear, I just wish it was a bit cheaper
person 2: yeah but it is what it is, best GPU around, besides if you're interested in compute, it's a great card
person 3 in reply to person 1 and 2: The price/performance sucks, it's bad value.
person 1: yeah true but I don't care
person 2 yes we know it's not a price/perf card
person 3 again in reply to 1 and 2: But it's not good value, why would buying one make sense?
person 1 and 2: yes we get that, can we just discuss the card instead of the price since we all know it's bad price/perf?
person 3: Price is always important! Everyone should be able to talk about the price!
The point isn't that you can't talk about it, the point is that don't push it in the faces of people who aren't interested as an argument. Everyone knows it's not good value.
What is the point of the same people saying it 200 times often in reply to someone else discussing the card itself? Just drop by in a thread to say that for you the card is bad because of value and that's a good argument you made, quote people and repeat it 10 times after being told that people don't care and it's a very bad argument.

Titan is NOT the great success nvidia was planning after all.
That must mean that the 580 wasn't a success because they released the 570. And the 680 didn't succeed either due to the 670.
I'd like to see how you can say that it wasn't a success when you obviously have absolutely no sales numbers and the card is still selling out at the normal retail price. That and it achieved what it set out to do, be the best performing GPU in the world with no competition.
