[swe] Nvidia prepares a slimmed-down version of the Geforce GTX Titan - Page 36

I see gtx titan going for 910-920 euro here in eastern europe, so who knows how much will the mini titan cost. but I dont think it will be worth 800eur if it is just 10-25% above 680 or 7970ghz

anyway how many of you are willing to pay 600 for 770? i mean come on. i have money for dozens titans in bank but i would not buy a 770 for that much. customers are clearly being overcharged here
i am running a 660ftw and am happy with it, but really nvidia is overcharging, 670 4gb costs 440eur in EU. now i have no problem with titan but if they increase prices of 7xx that much then uff. and i mean its only GTAV and just cause 3 coming in next 2 years

A 1536 CUDA core GK104 is already within 10% of 7970 Ghz Ed. so you have a hard to believing a card with 1792 CUDA cores won't at last match it if not exceed it by 10%? Enough of the hyperbole already.

I think its safe to say that they would have just made 3GB version of Titan with around 600-700€ price tag, and it would sell like hotcakes. I dont see any reason why there is 6GB or 5GB in this "cut down" version, since 1 single card is not able to push that kind of setup which is gonna require more than 3GB VRAM. Also gotta love dollar to euro conversion, titan currently is 999€ in here which translates to 1294 dollars -.-.

They don't seem to be selling poorly, even though it's out of my budget.
