One of those days that companies give away free computers

Thread Starter
second time in my 8 years working in the office company throw away computers you just take whatever you want.

this time all core2s with quadro fx 1700 to 3450 cards. which can do catleap monitors.

bunch of sas controllers and 15k rpm drives.

nothing valuable.

last time was a few years ago was pentium 4s and Ds.

one time took a hp 80lbs server home. it has eight 15k rpm drives and 2 power supplies which slide in and out no screws, sounded like an airplane... sold it for 50 bucks. must use a lot of electricity. so good got rid of it. has some xeon inside, very large motherboard.

junking x79.... soon.

so what did your company junk and what did you take home?

CRT's. lots and lots of CPD-G520P's.

I ended up with about 20 of them in the back of my S10.

Sad move.

I did blow the main to my home while testing the monitors, it was hilarous. My father whom I lived with at the time though North Korea was invading... or something.

P4's, C2D's and some AMD socket 939 goodies, some CRT's and few LCD's that needed just a couple new capacitors. No HDD's (due to sensitive data) and RAM (for spare parts) though frown.gif

Got a couple of cables and some bubble wrap a few years ago.
Still haven't used the cables.
