UltraGamer Desk - built in PS3, Xbox, and PC Liquid Cooled.

This desk is 8 foot by 3 foot wink.gif

I'm not good at sketchup at all.. not even a little.. but here is my drawing.

ok the area by the shelves will be a clear sheet of acrylic
i have the clear acrylic, its a 4' x 2' and 0.22" thick sheet.

also bought some particle board (the saw dust looking board)
i'm going to build the box out of wood - the 0.22" so its flush with the shelf (in the picture its not flush because i couldnt figure out how to edit it to be the same height.
then i'll heat gun it around the wood to give it the shape i need.

will need to pick up some extra plastic so i can enclose the sides.
lets look at the desk as it currently looks.

Legs

Bottom support of the Desk

Desk Top

I plan on drilling out either 120mm or 140mm fan holes in the desk to bring in air from under it.. the rear of the clear section will be the exhaust area.
there's a lot of other ideas but i dont want to give away too much just yet.

That looks like prime placement for a pair of 480 rads to me.

i was thinking that could be the intake, under the desk add large washable hepafilters. then the back wall would have the liquid cooling.
was thinking of going with these fans http://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Tek-Computer-Cooling-FHP-141/dp/B00A460TK6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362699186&sr=8-1&keywords=SILVERSTONE+FHP-141+140mm+Case+Fan

not a bad idea, i only plan on making the 90 degree area coming up from the desk 2".
so may not be able to get away with that unless i only do push on the rad in front and then do push pull on the rear one.

If the rads are all mounted on the desk I would keep all the fans inside the desk.

Pull on intakes, push on exhaust. The desk should contain a good part of the noise

Lowes, where i got the 4' x 2' and 1/4" thick plastic, told me their machine for cutting plastic/acrylic/lexan is broke and has been for 3 weeks.
i'll have to go to another lowes to get this cut up. so maybe around the 15th of april i'll get my other 2 pieces i need, then get all three cut by them.
i could do it myself but with these costing $55 per, i dont want to waste money if i end up messing it up. at least if they do it and screw up, the'll have to replace it wink.gif

here are the new renderings with 360mm rads, pump and reservoir.
