Will My PSU Support This Video Card?

Thread Starter
I have a OCZ600SXS 600Watt PSU, and I was wondering whether or not it will support the AMD 7950 or should I get a stronger PSU, maybe a 750 Watt?

SYSTEM SPECS:
-Windows 7
-4GB RAM
-Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6700 @2.66GHz 2.67GHz
-32-Bit OS

It's fine. Even a quality 400 watt could handle it.

Really? Well I bought A Powercolor AMD Radeon 7950 from NewEgg, and its been working for like two weeks, now, when I turn on my computer, it turns off, then after a split second, it shuts off. Is it b/c of the video card?

yes because this powersupply is not good enough. although a quality 520W PSU will be enough for one card.. The OCZ S series are just not that good.

Have a look at the Seasonic M12II 520 or 620 if you wanna go for upgrade later.
Or cheaper S12II 520 or 620 which are not modular

That OCZ PSU is made by FSP on a Epsilon platform

Quoted from http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/psu_manufacturers

OCZ used FSP as its OEM manufacturer for a long time. Their PSUs were of questionable quality, being based on the Epsilon model. However, they have taken a big step forward since acquiring PC Power & Cooling in 2007. The Impervio units and some Sirtec models are excellent.

Short version its not very good

Isn't that CPU bottlenecking your card ?
Also you should upgrade to a 64bit os so that you can use those 4 GB. On topic now
You should get a corsair ,nzxt , sea sonic , there are some other ones I can't remember. But those are the good quality PSU
