DVD Drive not working when IDE connected

Thread Starter
Hello!

I'm having trouble after switching out my power supply, my DVD drive no longer works. It is IDE and has been tried on MA CS and SL. It worked fine before switching the power supply though I am not able to test with the old power supply again.

When plugged in to IDE the dvd drive doesn't do anything, it isn't in bios, it won't open, nothing. When I remove the IDE cable the drive will open and close properly. I have also tried using both the middle and end of the IDE cable.

Things that it could be:
- Messed up IDE cable, though this doesn't make sense to me because of it recently working with a different power supply.

- Software, or BIOS setting. I'm trying to get the drive to work so I can reinstall windows which in itself is proving errorness. I have 3 SATA hard drives, 1 is a SSD, could these be conflicting with the IDE somehow? I had an issue a while back with the SSD and windows but couldn't explain it now, I just remember having to change master/slave in windows and AHCI/IDE

Anyone have any clue? its beginning to frustrate me so alas here I am.
