Only difference is less lanes (half the amount) but you can run dual x8 crossfire anyway.

How about SLI ?
Also, does anyone know if the 95W 1055t overclocks as well as the 125W version ?

Why do you want to use SLI now? Of course it will work, definitely will work. 95W 1055t probably OCs better but please. If anything a FX6300 will be much better
If you aren't aware AMD is cheaper AND faster now. Just don't talk about the titan. Any FX chip will probably bottleneck it
CF'd 7950 can cause a CPU bottleneck too, if you get your hands on CF'd 7870 instead, I don't think it will be bottlenecked by a 8350

Not really worried about my graphics at the moment. I'm just trying to make sure that if I do by a board it will be future proof for at least a few years.

As already mentioned, there is no such thing. However, it never hurts to have an upgrade path, and it makes sense to think that way. Considering AMD likes to keep their sockets the same, you will be able to keep the same motherboard if you have a decent one that will clock well and support SLI/Crossfire without the need for a board upgrade within the next year or two at least. So in terms of "future proofing" your motherboard may be the most "future proof" component you will purchase.

Which board would be better for overclocking, M5A99FX Pro r2.0 or Sabertooth 990FX r2.0 ? The Sabertooth has 8+2 phase power while the other only has 6+2. I can't see any major differences other than extra SATA and USB ports and maybe some PCIE features. Are the extra phases worth the extra money and do they make a difference in getting a higher stable OC ?

Also, can anyone guesstimate the price of the soon-to-be released Sabertooth GEN 3?

Your paying for the extra 2 year warranty is my guess, they should both clock similarly. No idea about rev 3.

But overclocking voids the warranty... or doesn't it ?
