Cooler Master Haf X build

Firstly if this thread is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it else where.

Hello, I just ordered an XSPC D5 RX360 kit, and 2 - 200mm and 1 - 230mm Bitfenix case fans. Hopefully they're good, as they had the most cfm. I'm going to be removing the hard drive cage for better air flow. Unfortunately, the cage is riveted, and needs to be drilled.

- Does anyone here know if I can use a push pull configuration with 200mm fans pulling, and 3 120mm fans, pushing?

- Would I get better temps without the 200mm fans, by putting 3 120mm fans on top instead?

I have attached some crappy pictures of the dusty case as I'm taking it apart. I'll post more pictures after drilling out the hard drive cage, cleaning, installing the bitfenix fans, and xspc watercooling kit.

EDIT - I think I will just test the fans both ways and see how my temps look. Ill keep everyone updated, when everything arrives. And I'll try to take pics of everything being installed.

Here is the hard drive cage.

Here is the rivets that will need to be drilled.

Random pics of the case being taken apart.

You're going to use 2x200mm for a 360 rad? Why? Use the three XSPC fans, I'm pretty sure they will perform better.

Well I'm not sure. I was asking which would be better.. If that's the case then I'm just going to use the bitenix fans in a different build I'm doing, and ill probably buy some scythe gentle typhoons for the 360. Although I have heard xspc xinruilian fans are great! I think I'll still test the 200mm fans anyway, I'm curious.

Thanks for your reply.

I have a HAF X and have thought about putting a 400mm(not sure if there is such a thing) or 2x200mm rad in the top of that case. I used the HAV X in my first build and bought a very thick rad that did not fit in the case the way I wanted but still think two big rads would be cool.

If you are going to use a 360 go with the 120mm. redface.gif
