Problem OC i7-3930k at 4.5GHz with Rampage IV Gene

I recently build a rig which using at rendering stuffs in Adobes, mainly Premiere and After Effects. Meanwhile, I also use this rig to training with Maya. Here is the spec:
- Chip: i7-3930k
- WC: Corsair H100i
- Mobo: ASUS Rampage IV Gene
- RAM: 16GB Gskil Sniper 1600 cas 9 (2 kits 4GBx2)
- SSD to install Windows 8: Corsair Force 3 120GB
- HDD: running Raid0, WD Blue 500GB x2
- VGA: ASUS GTX 650Ti Direct CU OC
- PSU: FSP Aurum 600W - 80 Plus Gold
- Case: GRone In-Win

I intend to run 4.5GHz daily with these setting in BIOS:
- X.M.P
- CPU Voltage: offset (+0.02)
- Load-line calibration: Medium
- DRAM Voltage: 1.55
Others remaining at defaults or auto

Results:
- CPU test: passed Prime95 in 12hours with Vcore at 1.352. Max. heat: 80. Idle heat: 38.
- RAM test: running 6 windows of memtest86, and divided to test 16GB of ram equally. Passed in 9 hours, 0 error, ~450% coverage

But the problem occured when I open multiple tabs in Chrome (6 tabs - Windows 8). I got BSOD after 10mins with the message DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. This issue has been lasted for few days.

Right now I am turning off OC, set the BIOS to defaults and running like-a-boss with 26 tabs in Chrome.

Someone help me please. This problem really affect my productivity as I afraid to render big, important files while OC-ing 4.5GHz.

Thanks

Sorry for the mistakes. I am trying to say MemTest (http://hcidesign.com/memtest/), not memtest86+

For your cooler 4.6 GHz is some kind of max with this CPU. To achieve this you have to steady one of many manuals hire on site (i e Sin 82).
Try LLC =High and instead prime95 do some rendering in Premiere -> your hardware is OK and prime 95 it will be like waste of time.
What i did not like in your report is that missing data about temperature in the room (IMO anything higher than 21°C it will be problem for your cooler). My recommendation is safe OC at 4.3 GHz thumb.gif

Hi,

Which version of Prime95 have you used? I recommend using 27.7 and later. That version would really hammer the CPU and show any instability very quickly. If you haven't already.
