ASRock 990FX Extreme 9

I bought this motherboard about a month ago. It worked fine then it started hanging it all refuses to put in the sata drivers at the begging of windows both 7 and 8. This computer is running AMD 8 core prosser and 16gig of ram i need this type of speck i do high end audio and video editing. I have twin setup with another computer it has a gigabye computer and it seems to handle in windows 8 . Iam at the point of thnking of ripping out the asrock board. could someone please help me with this problem.

is it overclock? have you tried using only 1 stick of ram?

if it overclocked how do i undo it ? the other problem iam seeing is that is does regonise the full speed of my memory in the bios it suposed to be DRR3 1600 it shows DDR1333 when i change it it says system over clocked and it anoying its not running in full speed.

CMOS -> You have a button on the board. Search for it at the back of the MBO.thumb.gif

or goto bios there is a set to default or reset to default settings. you could also search for the CMOS button usually located at the rear io near usb ports.
