Hello,

I don't know if this is overclocking, but that isn't really my intention. I just want the ram to be set at the standard speed, but the bios has automatically set the memory to 1333Mhz at CL9. Also i don't know what information you guys eventually will need to help me out, so I have taken som pictures of my Bios and the CPU-Z program. (Another quick question: Why doesn't the bios show my Corsair SSD disc when in ACHI mode? Pic. below) I really appreciate your time and help! Thanks! smile.gif Iv'e also head something about DRAM EOCP, does my motherboard have this? EDIT: Ops, I just found the EOCP in pic. nr. 1.

My system specs is:

MB: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 rev 1.1
CPU: AMD FX-6300 6-core Black edition 3.50Ghz
Memory: CORSAIR 8GB DDR3 XMS3 VENGEANCE PC3-12800 1600MHZ CL8 (2X4GB) 1.5v - http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m2a1600c8.html

BIOS:

Only shows DVD:

1333Mhz is the standard speed. The ram you bought could be run at the advertised 1600Mhz speed as long as the cpu and motherboard could run that speed also. So setting it to 1600Mhz in your bios is technically overclocking.

Just set it to 1600Mhz with the timings of the said ram with the voltage to 1.5v and it should be good. That is a very mild overclock.

Thanks, how do I change this? In pic. 1 and 2? Do I need to change TwTr command delay, Trfc1, RAS to RAS delay and so forth also, listed below the timings? smile.gif

What is DRAM EOCP? Does it have anything to do with XMS3 on the memory sticks?

In the first pic, Set Memory Clock to manual, and then set to speed to 1600Mhz. And then Dram Configuration, hit enter. Set the first three 9s to 8s for the Dram timings. Then set the Dram Voltage manually to 1.5v and save and exit the bios.

Should be good.

Pg 1:set memory clock-choose 1600(1333 is default)
Go to DRAM config
Manually enter XMP info(just the ones in CPUZ should do)
Find DRAM voltage, increase to 1.5.
F10,reboot.viola!
