Connecting 3x Dell UltraSharp Monitors to PC?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, seems like a very noob question i know! But never owned more then the 1 monitor before! Late bloomer in that regard i know.

I am buying 3x 27" Dell UltraSharp Monitors (1440p) to go with my 3x gtx 680 Classifieds i have in the mail, I am wondering how would i actually connect them?

1 display port for each monitor? Or am i way off?

What if you have 2 cards and 3 monitors? Do you plug 1 with a displayport cable, the other with a DVI cable?

Just plug one monitor in each card. Which connector doesn't matter.

Not sure how Nvidia works with that, but on AMD you gotta plug all your monitors into the primary card. Ive got 2 monitors connected via mDP-DVI adapters and one plugged straight into the DVI port on my primary 7970 thumb.gif
