BUT so is vampirr. The mere fact that you play star craft is a HUGE reason to get intel. AMD plain out sucks at star craft. Starcraft and skyrim are two games that HEAVILY favor intel. And talking about overclocking a 8350? a 3.5ghz I7 3770k beats a 4ghz 8350. Overclock both to 4.5ghz, the Intel is going to have a 28% increase while the 8350 only has a 12% increase. Not to mention, Intel still beats AMD core to core, so that benefits your gaming choice the most

starcraft performance

this is an older benchmark, but again, you see Intel dominating the playing field

and other Single core performance which you cannot dodge

Then looking at the GeekBench

4.5 ghz i7 3770k Results (Score: 19,308)
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/1651511

4.5ghz 8350 FX Results (Score: 14,939)
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/1734160

The I7 beats the 8350 at every single test

starcraft 2 is a really really bad comparison example since its basically build for intel

just face the facts, the 3770K is the better chip of course, it just cost more then the FX-8350 as it should.
what's the argument here.?

I rather have the FX-8320 anyways but then if I got that route, give me the i5-3570K instead.
anything less on the AMD side is not worth the sand it's made of, my opinion of course and APU A10-5800K excluded.

so why the AMD argument can be MOAR CORES... and slightly better in heavy multi-threaded apps,
I'm pretty sure an overclocked i5-3570K even compared to an overclocked FX-8320 would win out because of the IPC.
not to mention the higher TDP AMD brings with it..

bottom line if you can get the i7-3770K then do it, if not then FX-8320 and it will suffice and you will be fine.
do not forget about the i5-3570K as an alternative.
Haswell is coming but prices will be high at first..

cheers.

Please refer to Crysis 3.

For an extreme Intel-pro comparison, I'd suggest using SimCity 4 Deluxe with Network Addon Mod and a 5 million population city. It's a lot more popular than the SC Societies or 2013, at least among the SC fans.

If you put 2 and 2 together, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say HE'S the uploader of that video.

OCN user name = Malcom28 - Same avatar as the YouTube channel he linked to.

malagant28 is the video uploader, another video from that uploader is MalcomXT - Black Ops II Short Fragmovie.
