Actually Ivy TjMax is 105C, Sandy TjMax is 98C, but that imo means Ivy can withstand high core temperature better, thus Intel put their auto throttle temperature(which is what Tjmax is) higher.

Ivy runs 11c more on load than the Sandy. Perhaps that integrated GPU crap has something to do with it? Seems logical.

Run hotter != Produce more heat. Ivy consumes less power and by extension produces less heat, they run hotter because the TIM IHS and smaller die area means it is harder for the Cooler to extract the heat out from the CPU die.

IGPU have nothing to do wtih Ivy running hotter than Sandy, as most Sandy/Ivy Overclockers turn their IGPU off in Bios anyway.

2. No it does not. Try and find official TJmax for Ivy and link it. (There isn't any, cause they run hot hot hot).

3. Yes, that temp will remain in your case until pushed out, and warming up all components on the way out as well.

Because it is harder for the heat to escape on Ivy Bridge( heat concentrated on a 26% smaller die, covered by worse integrated heatsink design) compared to Sandy Bridge.

Yes, so where does that heat go? It cannot remain inside as it would get hotter and hotter then eventually burn, it must eventually dissipate somewhere outside of the CPU, into the case. Or am I being blond?

Heat would naturally go from the (1)die to the (2)Integrated heatsink(IHS,the top cover of the CPU chip), and then get transferred to (3)Cooler.

However Ivy have TIM between die & IHS instead of Sandy's fluxless solder, resulting in more heat getting trapped between 1 & 2 and not getting to 3, resulting in Ivy running hotter than Sandy.
