voltage on the 2nd core doesn't change?

Thread Starter
I'm overclocking my opteron 165 and noticed that when I up the voltage it only shows my 1st core voltage going up on "motherboard moniter" and the 2nd core voltage stays the same. Is it suppose to be like that or is it just "motherboard moniter" not showing the right info?

It is more then likely just motherboard monitor acting up. I dont think its possible to increase the voltage to one core and not increase the voltage to the other.

Same situation in this thread http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69855 I posted a reply but some monitor report your NBvoltage as a second core and even reads as a seperate temp in some software monitors. you should see if your board has a brand specific monitor try it and see what it says. The Athlon 64 Duallies are built on one Die and the mobo has only one monitor for the CPU and thats a fact but some software shows the Northbridge as a second core but I bet if you went into your bios's health status section you would see your second core voltages/temps match up to the northbridge. Hope this helps.
