If you take the combo deal with the single DIMM 8GB memory, you must add another 8GB DIMM or you will lose half of your A10 performance because of single channel. You must have DDR3-1866 at dual channel for full performance. Performance is halved with single channel. I have seen it reported by some APU users, particularly on laptops. Single channel will neglect any of your performance gain over your previous A4.

OP, you could always go with tri-channel motherboard and use that free 8GB DIMM with a dual-channel kit. Don't know how good the performance will be though as I use dual-channel.

It's not generally a good idea to mix ram, plus all the sticks will run at the specs of the slowest one.

but if they're all (let's say) 2133, would it really make a difference?
