AMD Catalyst 13.3 BETA 3 (12.100.17.0 March 18) - Page 14

I just discovered for myself OCCT 4.40, haven't used OCCT in a while. With 13.3 b3 the program freezes while crossfire is on, no matter what the OC.

Works fine with single card. Kicked my OC's ass today, buy showing my suspicion that one of my cards is the weak one ( previous OCCT didn't detect those errors, benchmark programs work fine with high OC too). had to drop to 1170/1575 instead of 1200/1540. On the bright side lowered voltage to 1.225 from 1.238 1200 on core with that new OCCT requires around 1.26, screw that =\.

That program is not a good thing to use for stability testing. Absolutely no game will draw as much power as it does.

I've found the Bioshock Infinite/Tomb Raider and Starcraft 2 will quickly show artifacts on an unstable overclock.

That is true, however I disagree.

OCCT will test power supply, and power cascade located on card. Weak PSU or bad hardware will manifest artifacts or more likely crashes. If hardware survive such temperature and power draw you can be sure that hardware is stable.

Crashes in game, in case that OCCT is stable means engine or driver problem (if you are not overclocking). That is quite important if you are trying to provide complete diagnose.

On unstable OC which manifests with artifacts - i prefer Skyrim for this purpose biggrin.gif

yup the only stability test I have ever used is the games I play. If it can play the game ultra smooth at the clock I get then I have a stable OC duh! I'm at 1170/1600 ghz flash. i don"t even touch the volts. I have not had a single issue with any driver since for almost a year now. Betas just keep making games smoother and faster for me

There is way too much of this thread to read, so I will ask. Does anyone sometimes see their screen flicker while playing media on firefox? I have hardware disabled for flash player but I see it sometimes on both netflix and places with flash based video streaming like youtube and twitch tv. I only started seeing it on 13.2 and now 13.3. Never saw it on 12.11 beta.

Yes, few people reported such issue. Since I use Opera I cannot confirm it directly.

Ahh ok. I also noticed it in Super Street fighter IV AE. I think it happens because of rapid clock switching from idle to my OC. The game doesn't take much power, so sometimes the clocks switch up and down during a match. The frame rate does not suffer however.
