At the consumer level, they can be beaten and are but, that's not where/how they make their $$$$...Not by a long shot.
Netgear HAS enterprise equipment, it's total garbage...Much like their consumer offerings 2-3 years ago...Juniper is decent but, 3/4 of the current market uses Cisco so, good luck converting the vast majority of the internet...
Dying? Really? On OCN? Cisco dying? -- The intelligence/ignorance of the masses on these forums continually sinks to new lows, bi-weekly.
The bottom line is simple. Cisco actually had a "solution" to this problem on the 18th ~ In fact, if you were registered as an owner/Admin for one of these on the network, you received not only a call but, an email; acknowledging the error and a tech was right there with a "fix".
Juniper call you when there's an issue with your software? Didn't think so.
This article was posted a day later, on the 19th and basically re-hashes what happened on Monday...Go-go drama hits.
TLDR: If you think Cisco is "dying" stop typing, hit the back arrow and move along.
