How do you know if your pump isn't enough?

I'm using the XSPC X20 750 Rev.4 combo

It's pushing through the raystorm block, xspc rs 360, alphacool 120mm monsta, swiftech komodo

My temps are amazing...AMAZING...just curious if there's "too much work" for the pump or how to figure that out.

The pump is pushing through all this. Again, temps are amazing.

Also while you're here, what's a good flowmeter I can blend in that, I dislike not being able to see what the water behind that black tubing is doing haha.

Your temps are amazing right? Thus leave it alone, don't break something that's working well.

Anyways, without a meter you can only get a general idea by using a flow calculator. Looking at your loop, restriction doesn't look like an issue.

yeah how do you idle/load temps scale? Also how fast is the water in your res moving? by temp scaling I mean like 30c idle/60c load not 35c idle 80c load thats a crazy jump. a 20-30c jump is what you should expect if it's more then that something isnt right. Also how fast is cool down from extreme load? a long cooldown suggest flowrate is to low

It's called delta, and his delta will depend on the block in question. GPU deltas are low and cpu deltas are high.

You can't really tell how fast water is moving well operating loop w/o a meter and it doesn't matter, just run martins pump calculator.

Cool down has less to do with loop efficiency (granted you're not in the red) and more to do with water volume. Low volume equals quicker temp change to max deltas and back again. More volume will actually lengthen the time that it takes for the loop to go back to idle temps.

Well my cpu idles around 30-33, under full load like IBT it goes around 40-44C

Gpu idles the same, under full load it doesn't go above 39C

Usually the first sign that your pump isn't pumping enough is that little green army men start to appear on your tubing. biggrin.gif
