My psu and new MSI GTX 670 Power edition when overclocked : "display driver stopped responding

I have bought a new MSI GTX 670 Power edition and when I try to overclock from afterburner software games stuck and it gives "display driver stopped responding and has recovered " error. is it because of my 500 watt xigmatek psu ? but if I dont overclock it works perfect with no error. is this because of 500 watt psu ?

my pc specs are :

Fx 6100 @ 4.6 GHZ -- GIGABYTE 970A --MSI GTX 670 Power edition -- SANDISK EXTREME 120 GB SSD -- 500 GB SEAGATE HDD -- 8 GB RAM -- COOLERMASTER HYPER 212 EVO CPU Cooler -- AEROCOOL VS-3 CASE -- 500 WATT XIGMATEK PSU -- VE 2 ARCTIC COOLING + 2 AKASA CASE FANS -- 27" ASUS VE276Q LED MONİTÖR

and my cards default specs .

so it is power supply no room for overclock isn't it ?

If you are trying to overclock it, try to use a very small boost on the clock speed (i.e. 20-40mhz) or the card could become unstable. As for as memory speed, start low and work your way up to +200-500Mhz depending on how stable it is for you

I am pretty sure the card is not getting enough power since i had the same issue with another card that was not getting enough power. I fixed it by upping the voltage. This might be that it is voltage locked, and has no room for overclocking, since you know its already overclocked. (I dont know if it is a really bad overclocker since you mentioned not being able to get 1mhz above stock.). It is probably this..... try upping the voltage if it allows you to.

Or the card is not getting enough power from the supply. How old is the power supply?
