Single HD 7970 to Run Games Over 3 Displays well?

Hey all,

I own a Sapphire HD 7970 3GB OC (with boost) GPU and I was wondering this:
Could I run games (eg. BF3, Skyrim, Gmod etc.) over 3 displays with my single GPU? The monitor config may seem a little strange however. I have a Philips 273E3LHSB 1920x1080 (which is placed in the middle) and on either side of that a Samsung SyncMaster 940B 1280 x 1024. I would assume I would just connect these 3 displays via the outputs on the back of my 7970 and tell Windows to connect the displays and then I'd probably test a game. But I'm not entirely sure that my method would work so I guess my question is, is how would I go about setting it up? Probably a little hard to tell but any ideas as to what the gaming performance would be like?

Thank you to anyone who helps out smile.gif

Remember, the first two monitors you can connect can be connected with any port on the gpu, but the third must be connected with a displayport or minidisplay port, and if you use an adapter for this, it must be an active adapter.

To set up your monitors, get windows to recognize them and place them in the correct order. Then go into catalyst control center and create a display group. This makes it so that all three monitors are recognized like one, and will limit the resolution on the 1080p to 1920 * 1024
