I have a Rosewill card reader hooked up via usb 3.0 header(giving me a 3.0 header on the front plus the card reader that I need for dashcam stuff). Well I have a Sandisk class 10 Premium 32gb micro SDHC card that I use and the data transfer rates keep bottoming out, even using the standard SD adapter. It starts out fairly well transfering a lot of HD video content(large files, 10-25 of them at a time usually) around 10-15 MB/S then drops to barely .5 equivalent. It starts with a 27 minute wait time then drops to hours and hours then suddenly jumps up and finishes the last 1/4 of the transfer in a couple minutes.. USB drivers are current, there are absolutely no drivers for the card reader anywhere so none for that but it functions perfectly, just very laggy recently... Any guesses? It was a cheapo card reader that had mostly okay to good reviews so I wasn't expecting top notch performance but this is a bit of a funky problem I can't seem to solve outside of defective hardware.. The card is still very new, probably only has about 30 cycles on data on it, if that. been formatted recently(standard FAT32 options) but started this problem shortly before formatting. It was maybe the 10th time pulling files off it that it dropped like this.
