I've got plenty of hours into GTA 4 with a lesser GPU and I never dip below 35.

My Propus (X4 @ 3.7, in my sig) didn't run it on lower settings without dipping into low teens at times unless I reduced it to 1680x1050.

You might get a little boost too from 8GB but I barely use more than 4.5GB in GTA 4 so I wouldn't worry about that too much.

GTA 4 is just poorly coded. Even monster rigs struggle sometimes.

My mobo supports Phenom II x4 up to 970 and 1090T redface.gif Asus M2N68 Plus will games such as mafia 2 or crysis run better if i buy an 955BE and OC it to +4Ghz ? or 1090T ?

the easiest solution really is to open up some monitoring tools while in game. open up a task manager while attempting to game and see if your cpu is pegged. if it is, fix it. next check your gpu with a program such a gpuz if you see that your card is pegged out and not cutting it then you need a new card. all that said. with the cpu running at 3.75 ghz the cpu doesn't really seem like the problem i'm inclined to believe it's time for a new gpu. But this is OCN and on OCN the answer is always scrap it and do a watercooled i7 with sli/CFX:p

Gpu usage +90% all the time and load between cores goes from 20% to 60% mostly core 1 is going for 60 and the others only run at 15-30%

Ran mafia 2 with everything on max 1920X1080 Physx off and average fps around 30

I don't understand. Crysis was released around the time his processor and graphics card were top of the line.

if you don´t need your pc i would recommend even selling it and buying a console since you won´t have much fun with it because games will need more and more power and your hardware will outdate even more.

His card is superior to the 6780.

SSD have nothing to do here.

How does Crysis play? I understand GTA 4 and Mafia2 might be borderline for your system for a decent game experience but Crysis should not. How long is the Window Install, is it stable or you sometime get BSOD or random freezing. Do you use latest drivers? Try other games are they unplayable too?

I would try to OC the CPU more and maybe the GPU, if your GPU is 90+ and the CPU is 60% then the GPU is your limiter. Either OC it or get a better one.
