Can't Get HTT higher!

Thread Starter
Hey people,

I'm pretty new here as a member and i'm wondering if you guys can help me out??

My MB spec:
GA-K8NF-9 (F11) sock NB cooler, A64 3700+ (KAB1E) Venice core

I Pumped up my HTT to 260*3 with a CPU muti of 7 and a Mem devider of 1/1.33. I cannot go any higher or it'll hang at boot.

It runs Rock solid with HTT 260*3 CPU multi of 11 and mem devider 1/1.66

Would a new NB cooler help? i.e. thermalright HR-05 or eq?

Have you pumped up the voltage on your NB? The higher the FSB, the more voltage you're gonna need to give your NB. A new cooler is good but not necessary unless your NB temps are getting high, like 50-60 C+

Looks like the FSB is the same :/

Your RAM might not be able to handle the tighter divider.. if that is tighter. If it isn't ignore this post If it is, try upping the vdimm 1 increment

By this you mean my HT-Link Voltage control (+0,1/0,2/0,3)?
I tried all three, but did not work.

My Ram runs at 384 MHz, so i think that's not the problem.

Chipset voltage, not sure what they call it on your board. Anyway, just give it about .2-.3v increase from stock and you should be alright. At the same time it might just be your RAM, is it generic? You don't have a brand listed in your specs.

Brand is swissbit 2*512 PC-3200 3-3-3-8 @ stock. Not the best, but it works.
