Phenom II X4 965 BE Vs. A10-5800K BE

Hello I was wondering which was is better I can get both for a cheap price so which one is better in proccesing power?

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

OR

AMD A10-5800K Black Edition

I don't give a crap that the APU has build in graphics I would buy a discrete one for it anyway I just whanna know about pure proccesing power I will be using it for gaming. Also can't I pit the phenom on a amd3+ motherboard? Instead of a amd3? So I can get USB 3.0

965 is definitely the faster of the two

And yes, the am3 cpu's will work fine on am3+ boards

You think it would be a good gaming CPU for the next couple of years?

It's a midrange cpu now, so I can say it will do just fine in a few years to play games. However, how good it will play them is another thing altogether. I'm assuming your budget is around the $100 mark? Like anything tech related, you (generally) get what you pay for. Overclocking can help speed that 965 up, but for the price range you would be better served in the long run with something like a fx-6300. How much can you spend?

I'm spending around let's say 450$ all together can go 10$ or 12$ over that I already have my stuff picked out though now I'm just looking for a good graphics card for under 95$ that's PCI 2.0 or 2.1

I think if you're not going to benefit from the IGPU then paying the price for one isn't worth it, i'm pretty positive the 965 is the better cpu in this instance if you plan on buying a discrete card. I'm actually kind of debating building a light gaming pc kind of like a steam box and wondering if i should go for the apu with the dual graphics option or if i should just get an older cpu with a used card for like 100 bucks, not really sure...
