It's called skimming prices, invented to take advantage of first-movers, such as myself. Stop crying, it's the premium we pay to be the amongst the first people with the games. If you are really so upset, consider waiting a couple of months, before you go ahead an purchase your games.
This! Battlerecorder and Spectate mode please! I wan't to see more Battlefield eSports on twitch.tv!
I don't expect a game to cost the same 3-4 years down the road. What I expect is that if I purchase a game, and bonus content, that a month down the road my purchase is still valid. Not spend $100 on all the bells and whistles to support the game I love, and 4 weeks down the road they offer everything, and more for 1/3 the price. Prices should drop, however shafting your initial buyers before their next bank statement releases is a poor marketing choose.

That among other things, I bought a DLC...And less than a month later everyone got it for free. Everyone was excited for BTK and I was more than happy to support DICE for their hard work in rebuilding it into the FB2 engine.

They are served junk, choose the better of their options and praise it. No, it's still junk, you just don't know any better.
This is the issue today with gamers. A publisher tosses a (3,4,6,21) After the title and gamers eat it up like fresh cake. Most of the time it's not even a new game these days, it's a half hearted story that took a writer 30 minutes to create, and they just rush you through it so you enter multiplayer. I remember back when a FPS story took 10-20 hours! Now, we get 4-6 hours if you play on the hardest level, and than your pushed right into the multiplayer.
I'm a bit critical, and alot of folks might take that as I'm "hating" on battlefield 3, however I'm not. I enjoyed the game very much and still believe its a great title worth the invesment. But unless EA/DICE amps up the gameplay, I"m not gonna buy BF4 if it's the same as BF3. I won't allow EA/DICE to turn the Battlefield franchise into a Call of duty yearly release title. I WON'T. I bought all the COD's upto MW3, and I regret it. I allowed a publisher to take a good title (COD4) and create a monster that is a rinse and repeat title every single year. Battlefield has such a rich history with gamers, and I don't want to see it fall into the same trap because EA wants to compete with Activision.
