Better graphics must mean more sun flares and dirt on the screen, then the DOF is soooo off that everything except the grass at your feet is blurry! can't wait

actually i love BF3 smile.gif

If DICE pulls this off with 64-bit support, full-on Battlerecorder, a more robust Battlelog and huge, BF2-esque maps from the get-go, and even some CQC maps from the start...and of course, much improved graphics, etc., then i'll be really convinced that BF3 wasn't just the beginning of the consolization process of the Battlefield series (and yes, i'm fully aware of the extra work involved with the PC version - I saw the tech demos and presentations made my DICE with DX11 features exclusive to the PC, etc., prior to BF3's release).

Just to be clear, I have 100% faith in DICE, not EA. thumb.gif

I have to agree that there is a lot of potential here, but the maps are too small for the amount of armor and supporting arms they have in each map (not to mention aircraft). The damage system needs tweaks and I would love to see more ARMA-type elements added. As an active-duty Marine with multiple combat deployments, I try not to expect the real thing out of these games, but when an LAV-25 can run around a map and take on two T-90s and win, something is wrong. Dont even start me on the AAV-7.

Anyway, lots of potential but I think EA is trying to please 13 year old kids who want a Call of Duty experience rather than focusing on creating a FPS. Nothing is wrong with the regular mode being an arcade game, but hardcore should be exactly that.

If you want to sell a bunch of next-gen consoles keep COD and BF away from the current ones. sadly this "dual" genration launch will hurt the new consoles and future game sales and gaming progression as a whole more than help it.

What are you^ talking about..?

Battlefield4 will only be released on the consols, after the PC release...  & then only for the new consols. (ie: PS4/xbox720)

ps: I have never given credit to EA for any BF game, I pay for the DICE name when buying them, not EA.

What? Where did you hear that? It will likely release on all platforms simultaneously.

However, I don't feel BF4 is going to be gimped by the current gen consoles. The PS3 and 360 versions of BF4 will probably be more gimped than BF3 is on the current gen consoles (it is pretty gimped despite those saying BF3 is consolized). This will encourage people to make the switch to next gen. consoles but not completely alienate those who choose to stay with the current gen. EA has done this before on the NFS series as well.

whaaa..?

BF4 will be a PC game only, then ported to the Consol systems (easily). BF4 will not be released on current gen consol systems, only the new PS4 & xbox720 due out this xams dude...  stop with ur crazy-ness.

Your jaded view is because you are not reading what DICE is saying. C'mon how is BF4 going to be like BF3,  ..when BF3 does not even have a Commander..!!    dude..  so *** r u talking about? U have no idea what DICE has been suggesting...  do you remember submarines and/or aircraft carrier moving in the ocean..?

then ****.. bcuse DICE themselves said imagine BF2, with our technology today..

Secondly, understand that both xbox720 & PS4 will have AMD DX11 chips in them, so downsizeing BF4 to fit the consol's platform won't be that hard. But DICE has said themselves,  ..that Battlefield 4 is a PC game first & formost. Read their own blog.

Coincidentally, if u didn't know, DICE used BF Heroes, BC. BC, BC2 & BF3 to target all the upstarts who had never played a PC game, let-alone a PC shooter, but the upstarts that only knew COD, etc. The consolidation comes from both Consol's & PC's moving to 8GB of memory and multi-core 64bit environment.
