Not ranting, just reminiscing. Oh well 2cents.gif

Bring it on DICE. My PC is ready.

I know the cynics will poo-poo on this as just another money grab but *what if* DICE has really learned how to fully optimize FB2 and of course they have the nex-gen dev kits so they want to completely overhaul the game to make it bigger and better all they way around..? They changed the direction of development halfway through BF3 because the current consoles couldn't handle the engine fully, like pcs. So, what if they are like "Okay you gaming peoples tongue.gif, you want BIG..? we'll give you BIG..." I may be overly optimistic but, I'm hoping the reveal shows BF is going to go bigger and badder now that the current gen consoles are pretty much out of the picture. I'm hoping.

Don't get why they can't just update BF3/dlc/whatever

I think once a developer or series gets sucked into a huge corporation it isn't so much about supporting games or any sort of longevity. Everything is put on a schedule, games run their course then new product is pushed onto the consumers. BF3 has run it's course, the last DLC hit, sales figures were (likely) met, and now they are moving onto the next big thing.

It's not about babying a game, patching, new content forever, its about selling it while it's popular then getting something new and exciting out. :/

I'm more fond of the Bethesda style of publishing games, longer between releases but huge modding communities that give the games much longevity. I don't think we will be seeing any love like that from EA again.

This looks promising. A definite must-have for any FPS fan.

Also, what ever happened to Battlefield: Bad Company 3? Is that even in the pipeline? Would love to see a BC3 game since BC2 was such an awesome experience, especially with the Vietnam expansion! biggrin.gif

Not going to lie, I was really hoping for a 2142-themed BF again, but on Frostbite 2.

Oh well, I'll still watch this with great interest anyways!

Ya, I have lost a lot of interest in this since it looks like a modern shooter... again.

I will probably still buy it, just not as enthusiastically.
