How bad would games look running on just my 670FTW (OC'd to a 1293 Core Clock)? I'm realizing now that since I never intended to go dual GPU I don't have a PSU powerful enough for it anyway. I'm not keen on upgrading all these different parts of my computer for something I don't do very often.

Modern games - medium settings, give or take. You can definitely make games look decent in Surround, but you will forego some eye candy. A 7970 wouldn't be a huge improvement, but it would be a slight improvement.

I guess the best thing for me to do is give it a try when I get my monitors and if I'm not satisfied I'm sure that will give me the urge to add a second GPU biggrin.gif.

ive been running 3x asus VS247's for almost a year (well like 9 months i think) on a single 670 2gb, usually have to give up AA and drop AF, but most games i can run @5760*1080 mid-high settings

I think I'm going to stick with my 670 for now, see how it runs the games I have and then maybe look towards the next generation of cards.

I definitely would not switch to team red or even get a second 670 at this point in time with new gen coming shortly on both sides. IMO you will get sick of having 3 monitors that are not matching in size so I'd go for a third 24 inch to match your others. See how your single 670 handles it first before upgrading GPU, you may not even have to if you don't need eye candy. Save your money for lifting supplements! thumb.gif

Haha luckily I take very few supplements biggrin.gif. But yes I've already decided to go with a third 24" so I'm going to see how the games I have look on my current setup and if I decide I want more eye candy I'll upgrade when the next gen cards come out thumb.gif.

To give the op sone ideas, i have 3x27" in nvidia surround with two gtx 560ti's originally twin frozr 2 from msi but I did put those under water, those gpu's have only 1 gb of ram and I have no problems in games like borderlands 2, just cause 2, sleeping dogs, nfs hot pursuit, dirt showdown, Alice etcetc not a slight fps drop, and yes the cards are in factory clock since I didn't notice any change on a over clock

I wanted to upgrade to a couple of 670's but ill rather wait since I'm still having a good time with the games I have

Will post pics tomorrow of my battle station for the proof, but I would say you'll have no problems with that 670 thumb.gif nvidia did advertise that you can hook up to four displays on the 6xx series so that's an positive thing if you're gonna leave the gpu stock
